Everything always seemed so special on birthdays. It was the same kind of feeling you would have on a holiday like the fourth of July or Christmas. The air wasn’t really fresher, the sun wasn’t really brighter, the music wasn’t really better, but it seemed to be. Special events birthdays are… These kinds of events create memories and even fashion personalities for life I believe. For this reason, I feel it is important that moms (and dads) do everything in their power to make special memories on those occasions. Organizing a birthday party is a lot of work and some of the decisions are rather difficult as well as time consuming. It is an important task, though, and one that deserves the utmost of concentration and effort.

O.K., you have some friends & relatives over, you order some pizza, you order a “jumper”, you buy presents, you bake (or buy) a cake and some ice cream, you blow up some balloons. Is there anything more that can be done? Is there anything else that will create a lifetime memory? Is there anything else that could positively impact your child’s life and possibly other lives which you could do at a birthday party?

I have some ideas that I know from my own personal experience have changed not only my life, but continue to impact many other lives to this very day. I would like to share my ideas, but first I would like to hear from anyone who feels like I do about special days, or has had experience with specific novel birthday ideas, or anyone who has comments in general.
